The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue produced for sassa status intervention encounters a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tricky more info to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to help the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
